Founder Butch Wright’s younger brother Ken was in the prime of his life celebrating during grad night in 1974 when a car accident took his mobility away leaving Ken a paraplegic.

Butch designed and built the first version of the Wright Chair for his brother, and has been improving them over time for over 20 years. Butch also developed other power lift products and has been a successful entrepreneur with his business – – Power Lift Dolly.
